George Anwar, PhD.
George holds a PhD. degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on control systems from the University of California, Berkeley. He currently teaches graduate and undergraduate engineering courses in digital design and real-time programming using LabVIEW at the University of California, Berkeley. He has authored and co-authored a variety of publications in high speed tracking control, adaptive control, and repetitive control. In addition, Dr. Anwar has acted as a consultant to several high technology companies in the San Francisco bay area and Japan. He has extensive experience in control algorithm design, general software development, real-time programming, and both analog and digital hardware design.

Ali Jabbari, PhD.
With more than 20 years of experience in modeling, analysis, design, and implementation of active control solutions for electromechanical systems, Ali Jabbari has provided control design and vibration analysis expertise to established Silicon Valley companies such as Applied Materials, KLA-Tencor, Nikon Research Corp, Amersham Biosciences, and New Focus. He has also served as a principal investigator for NASA and Army funded projects to develop integrated control and finite element simulation software. Jabbari holds patents in the area of active vibration isolation, signal processing, and active control of mechanical systems. He received his PhD in mechanical engineering, with emphasis in dynamic systems and control, from University of California, Berkeley.

Claire Kinlaw, PhD.
Claire Kinlaw is a scientist and consultant with more than 10 years of experience serving science and engineering projects, entrepreneurs, and small business owners. She has led and contributed to teams studying genomic science, project performance, and small business growth. She has a passion for helping clients get results collaboratively, and her career roles have included: project scientist, project leader, science program manager, and more recently: project consultant, strategic business advisor, and small business owner. She has helped clients improve project performance, manage human talent, identify market opportunities, understand customers, and clarify business models. She is currently an MBA candidate at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Her accomplishments have included:
  • Technology transfer projects that included academic, government, and industry partners
  • Conflict resolution within multi-million dollar government research institution
  • Profiles of successful project performance in large government scientific agency
  • Strong business models developed by life-science startups

Milad Davaloo, BS.
Milad Davaloo is a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer and Engineer at IMI. He has led and contributed to several engineering teams tackling projects ranging from research to application development to designing and manufacturing robots. His knowledge in mechanical design and real-time programming as well as his experience in project management has been a major factor in meeting and exceeding client expectations time and time again. He is a recent graduate from University of California, Berkeley holding a BS. degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Curtis Lui, BS.
Curtis Lui recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS. in Mechanical Engineering. He was previously a Mechanical Engineering Intern supporting energy harvesting research and developing prototypes of a neurostimulating device to treat headaches—at Autonomic Technologies, Inc., a medtech startup. He is a certified Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
